
NATIONAL POPULATION COMMISSION PARTNERS FUTA TOWARDS ENSURING ACCURATE DATA GENERATION

The National Population Commission in Ondo State is set to partner the Federal University of Technology, Akure towards ensuring accurate data generation for effective planing for human and societal development.
This was observed during the visit of the Federal Commissioner representing Ondo State, Mrs. Kemi Iyantan to the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology in Akure, Prof. Olanike Oladiji in the state capital.
The federal commissioner who was accompanied by management of the commission in the state including the state Director, Mrs. Olayinka Chijioke emphasized the place of accurate data in planning to ensure that government prioritises the need of the people.
She stressed that the Renewed Hope Agenda of the President Bola Tinubu administration could only be achieved in the nooks and crannies when there is accurate data to work on by the various agencies saddled with the responsibilities of interpreting government policies.
Mrs Iyantan notified the Vice Chancellor that National Population Commission proposes to have a registration center in the institution to reduce the stress students pass through to get the certificates issued by the commission.
In her remarks, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Olanike Oladiji promised to collaborate with the National Population Commission to reduce the stress faced by students in accessing services rendered by the commission.
She reflected on the impacts of some offices that have been allowed to be resident in the school, noting that similar collaboration with the NPC will make learning easier.
Prof. Oladiji who commended the giant strides being recorded by the federal commissioner promised to always make herself available when the need arises.
