
NDDC: IFEDAYO ABEGUNDE COMMENDS OGBUKU’S LEADERSHIP
The Executive Director, Corporate Services at Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Hon Ifedayo Abegunde has praised the outstanding leadership of Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, the Managing Director of the Commission.
Abegunde’s commendation came while receiving members of the Ondo State Liaison Committee for the inaugural Niger Delta Sports Festival, scheduled to take place in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Abegunde highlighted the significant infrastructure development in the Niger Delta region during Ogbuku’s tenure, which has improved the quality of life for residents of the mandate area.
He emphasized the NDDC’s commitment to transparency, accountability and community engagement, ensuring that projects are completed to high standards and on time.
“Ogbuku’s tenure as NDDC Chairman has witnessed a remarkable infrastructure revamp in the Niger Delta which has further improved the quality of life for residents of the mandate areas.
“There is nothing like abandoned project in the dictionary of the present NDDC leadership as all projects are monitored, ensured they meet the required standards and delivered at the appropriate time.”
Abegunde urged the Ondo State Liaison Committee to select the best athletes for the Niger Delta Sports Festival without bias, ensuring a fair representation of the state.
He expressed confidence in Ondo State’s potential for success given the efforts made so far.
Chairman of the Ondo State Liaison Committee and acting Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, Mrs. Tolulope Adeyemi assured Abegunde that the selection process would be transparent and the chosen athletes would make the state proud in Uyo.
The Niger Delta Sports Festival set to take place from April 1 to 9 aims to showcase the region’s young talent.
