NEW ODOBA OF ADO-EKITI, HIGH CHIEF JOSEPH OJO PASSES ON THREE MONTHS AFTER INSTALLATION
Information reaching Naijaparrots indicates that the newly installed Odoba Awusi of Ado-Ekiti, High Chief, Joseph Kehinde Ojo has joined his ancestors.
According to sources within Odoba Compound in the town, the High Chief passed on in London during a brief illness.
Chief Joseph Kehinde Ojo was installed about three months ago after the demise of the former Odoba Awusi, High Chief Alex Olu Ajayi.
Late Chief Ojo was installed in April this year.
It remains just ten days to make it 3 months.
Sources said he was still planning his ‘Iwuye’ ceremony to be presided over by the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe which sources said had been slated till after the annual Udiroko Festival to be held in August.
Naijaparrots gathered that though considering the status of the late High Chief, the palace could have gotten the news, the Odoba’s quarters is expected to notify the palace on Thursday.
This sad news has thrown the Aremu, Ereguru and its environs into a sad mood as the residents are worried that such a calamity could befall them just less than three months that a new High Chief was installed.
