NIGERIA CORRECTIONAL SERVICE GETS SIX NEW DEPUTY CONTROLLERS-GENERAL
Six Assistant Controller Generals of the Nigerian Correctional Service have been elevated to the rank of Deputy Controller General of Corrections.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Spokesperson, NCoS, Umar Abubakar, on Saturday.
The promotion was done by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board.
According to the statement, “The promoted superior officers include; Abdullahi Magaji, Ahmadu Adamu, Timothy Tinuoye, Marylaurene Melchizedek, Jerome Akinrujomu and Joseph Esu Usendiah.”
The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, congratulated the DCGs on their new positions and urged them to redouble efforts to meet the mandates of the Service.
Aregbesola reiterated that the Federal Government and the generality of Nigerians expect them to bring their expertise and experiences to bear so as to improve the fortunes of correctional administration in Nigeria.
The promoted DCGs have since been deployed to head various directorates of the Service.
