NIPSS COURSE 47 PARTICIPANTS COMMEND ONDO FOR PRIORITISING STUDY TOUR
…As Government Holds Dinner and Gala Night to round off exploration of abundant resources across the state
Participants of the Senior Executive Course 47 of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPSS, Kuru have commended the Ondo State Government for according priority attention to the exploration of the abundant resources in the state.
Speaking at a state banquette organised in honour of the participants in Akure, the participants noted with satisfaction that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is evidently committed to tapping the abundant natural resources in the state for the advancement of the state and its people.
Dr Dorcas Angbazo said Ondo State is blessed with huge ecotourism potentials to enrich the Sunshine State.
“I climbed the Idanre Mountain and was amazed at the splendour and beauty of nature, which could be a source of veritable earnings for Ondo State.
“If any of you fellow participants did not make it to the mountain, such a person missed greatly”
Comptroller Mohammed Umar said he was excited at the lush vegetation of the Sunshine State coupled with the various programmes of Governor Aiyedatiwa at making Agriculture attractive to the youth.
The deliberate policy of the State Government to encourage security personnel to effectively make Ondo State one of the safest states in Nigeria caught the attention of Colonel Tahir Abubakar.
Barrister Fidelis Chukwudi described as topnotch the hospitality of the people and government of Ondo State. While Mr. George Barclay Nguher was sure that the investment of the state in the Maritime Sector through the establishment of Port Ondo will surely give the youth a secured future.
The team leader, Alhaji Kabir Suleiman who said Ondo has become his second home noted that he had his National Youth Service in the state.
He commended the state government for ensuring smooth study tour, describing the officials in charge of the programme led by the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet and Special Services Department, Pastor Adeyemi Adeyemo as efficient and proactive.
Earlier in his remarks the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Taiwo Fasoranti expressed delight in the choice of Ondo State for the study.
The SSG represented by the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet and Special Services Department , Mr Adeyemi Adeyemo assured that the State Government would continue to be home for all law-abiding and peace loving Nigerians and non Nigerians.
In his remarks the Ondo State Governor, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa appreciated the kind words of the participants on the modest achievements of his administration.
Governor Aiyedatiwa represented by his deputy, Dr Olayide Adelami used the occasion to reiterate the commitment of his administration to the well being of residents of the state through life-changing policies and infrastructural delivery .
