
NPC FEDERAL COMMISSIONER KEMI IYANTAN EMPHASIZES COMMISSION’S ROLE IN NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The Federal Commissioner representing Ondo State in National Population Commission, Mrs. Kemi Iyantan has again emphasized the critical roles of the NPC in national development.
She also highlighted the core functions of the commission including the registration of births and deaths.
Iyantan spoke while playing courtesy call on the management of Fresh FM Radio Station in Akure the Ondo State capital, noting that accurate population data is essential for effective governance, planning, and policy implementation.
She acknowledged the media influence in shaping public awareness, soliciting Fresh FM’s cooperation in disseminating vital information about the commission’s mandate.
The Federal Commissioner expressed confidence that a strong partnership with the media would enhance public understanding of the importance of birth and death registration, ultimately contributing to national progress.
The management of Fresh FM led by Dokun Ladele, a veteran journalist and passionate contributor to societal development assured the National Population Commission of the station’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote public enlightenment and national development.
The General Manager promised that the station will take the message beyond the shores of Nigeria
Mr Ladele expressed confidence in the capability of the wife of former Deputy Governor to deliver on her mandate, stating that he had known her for over two decades.
The General Manager emphasized that President Bola Tinubu’s choice of the Federal Commissioner would compliment the Renewed Hope Agenda of the administration.
The Federal Commissioner was accompanied by the State Director, Mrs Olayinka Chijioke, Head of Public Affairs Department, Mrs Olubayode among others.
