NPC FEDERAL COMMISSIONER KEMI IYANTAN EXPRESSES READINESS TO JUSTIFY APPOINTMENT

The federal commissioner representing Ondo State in National Population Commission in Abuja, Mrs. Kemi Iyantan has expressed the readiness to justify the confidence reposed in her.
Mrs. Iyantan who is the widow of a former deputy Governor in Ondo State, Afolabi Iyantan was speaking with newsmen shortly after she was sworn in by President Bola Tinubu in Abuja.
Mrs. Iyantan assured that she would play her role in ensuring that the National Population Commission achieves its set targets of putting in place accurate demography for planning for the citizenry.
While appreciating Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for the confidence he has in her ability, the new federal commissioner described the appointment as a challenge to bring her wealth of experience to bare in the realisation of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu.
Mrs. Iyantan appreciated Ondo State-born Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo and his Youth Development counterpart for believing in her ability to compliment the efforts of Mr. President.
The federal commissioner also acknowledged the roles played by the representatives of Ondo State in both the House of Representatives and the Senate as well as leaders of the All Progressives Congress in the state especially Chief Pius Akinyelure and Dr. Akinola Awodeyi-Akinsehinwa also known as Apata.
Meanwhile the Chairman of National Population Commission, Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra has officially welcomed the newly sworn-in Federal Commissioner for Ondo State, Hon. Mrs. Olukemi Victoria Iyantan at the NPC Headquarters in the Federal Capital Territory.
The NPC Chairman expressed confidence in Mrs. Iyantan’s ability to contribute meaningfully to the Commission’s objectives, emphasizing the importance of accurate population data in national development.
Mrs. Iyantan’s appointment brings the number of the NPC’s Federal Commissioners to 35 with positions for Yobe and Nasarawa States remaining vacant.
Present during Mrs. Iyantan’s presentation of her letter of appointment to the NPC Chairman was the NPC Director-General, Dr. Osifo Tellson Ojogun.
