
NPC SEEKS COLLABORATION WITH ODIRS AS FEDERAL COMMISSIONER KEMI IYANTAN VISITS CHAIRMAN
The Chairman of Ondo State Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Bayo Rojugbokan has assured the National Population Commission of the required support towards generating accurate data for the state.
Rojugbokan was speaking while playing host to the Federal Commissioner representing Ondo State in the National Population Commission, Mrs. Kemi Iyantan in his office.
The Federal Commissioner had led other management of the commission including the State Director, Mrs Olayinka Chijioke to the Chairman as part of efforts to seek collaboration with relevant agencies.
The ODIRS Chairman appreciated the humility of the Federal Commissioner despite her accomplishments.
Rojugbokan promised to cooperate with the commissioner in her determination to justify the confidence reposed in her.
Iyantan who was appointed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2024, stated that part of her visit was to discuss areas of collaboration between the commission and the ODIRS.
She emphasized the importance of population data in governance, explaining that understanding the exact number of people in the state is essential for tackling various socio-economic issues.
Mrs Iyantan stated that accurate data would also be required in the implementation of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s Our Ease Agenda with the aim of making life easier for the people and fostering sustainable development in Ondo State.
