ODA ROAD PROJECT TO BE COMPLETED BY JUNE – GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA
Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has assured that the Oda road project will be completed by June 2025, despite encountering some minor challenges with the Ijoka road project.
This assurance was made known by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan, while featuring on the Crest Breakfast Show, ‘Eyi Ara’, on Tuesday.
According to Adeniyan, Governor Aiyedatiwa is prioritising the welfare of Ondo State residents and is committed to completing the Oda road project. The project, which spans 7.8 kilometres in Akure South Local Government Area, was initially awarded in 2021.
Regarding security concerns, Adeniyan clarified a recent statement made by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, Olugbenga Atiba, suggesting that residents take charge of their security. He added that Atiba’s statement was made under pressure and did not mean to alarm residents.
He also revealed that Governor Aiyedatiwa will unveil his full cabinet list in a few weeks, with a focus on appointing professionals who can add value to his administration. He urged residents to support the current administration, shun fake news, and remain optimistic about the state’s future.
Adeniyan, however, assured that the government is committed to tackling insecurity and improving their welfare, emphasising that the state government means well for the state.
He appealed to residents to be patient and supportive of the government’s efforts, as the administration is working to address the state’s challenges and promote development.
