… Governor’s Aide, Osamaye Unveils 10-point Agenda For Women Development Across The State
The Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor on Women Affairs, Dr. Mrs. Seun Osamaye has assured that the present government is committed to women development just as she unveiled Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s ten-point agenda for Ondo women.
She stated this while chatting with female journalists from different media houses in the state noting that the Governor is deliberate and passionate about women’s emancipation and development.
Some female appointees and women leaders were present to discuss the various programs designed for women by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, which, according to them, would be implemented without discrimination.
According to the Special Adviser, the aim of the initiative is to bring development to women at the grassroots level and ensure inclusive governance.

Ondo State Governor, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has set machineries in motion to reaffirm his commitment to ensure that no segment of the society is neglected in distribution of dividends of democracy.
The Governor has put in place the required structures and processes to ensure that O’Datiwa Women Initiatives reaches out to the nooks and crannies of the state, irrespective of location.
Speaking with newsmen in Akure the State capital, his Special Adviser on Women Affairs, Dr. Seun Osamaye said the governor has approved an administrative and mobilisation office for the Initiatives while other resources have also been made available.
Dr. Osamaye who commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for prioritising issues relating to women assured that structures and processes are being put in place to facilitate an all-round involvement of women both at the grassroots and urban areas in human and societal development.
The Special Adviser noted that the intervention by the governor would go a long way in propelling the members of the Initiatives as well as women in the state to keep spreading the message of good governance being promoted by the present administration.
Osamaye also stressed that the governor has unveiled a 10-point agenda that would focus on women development and involvement in the area of human and societal development.
She explained that the ten-point agenda of the Governor includes the engagement and empowerment of rural and elderly women, access to resources and support for market women, the “Skill Up a Woman” initiative, creating opportunities and strategic inclusion for women with disabilities, and facilitating government intervention for women in agriculture.
Other points include the “TECH-A-Girl & PAD A Girl Child Initiative,” the “Back to School Initiative for Female Adults,” developing capacity-building programs for women in politics and mentorship programs for female students, tagged “Campus Outreach” and young women in politics, providing network access for women professionals and entrepreneurs, and the “Health is Wealth” scheme for women.
She said that in the last two months, they have started visiting the grassroots to meet women, helping them feel a sense of belonging, and reaching out to a larger audience.
The Special Adviser noted that so far, they have visited ten local governments and commended the Governor for providing resources to achieve positive results.
Dr. Osamaye urged women to come out and participate in politics to jointly develop the state.
Women appointees and leaders, while speaking, added that it is a new era of effecting change, removing barriers, and creating an enabling environment for women to thrive in the state, commending the Governor for believing in women.
