The Odogbo of Omi kingdom HRM Oba Akinyelure Adesola says royal fathers have a vita roles to play in regulating political movement in Nigeria.
Oba Adesola made the submission when House of Representatives hopeful, Prince Okunjimi Odimayo paid homage to Ikale Monarchs at the palace of Jegun of Idepe – Okitipupa, His Royal Majesty Oba Michael Obatuga Adetoye.
According to the Monarchs, It is imperative that Obas play advisory role in ensuring that things fall in pleasant places for the upliftment of the polity.
While speaking, Chairman council of Ikale Obas and the Rebuja of Igbotako and Osooro, Oba Gbadebo Bajowa who thanked Prince Odimayo for believing in the relevance of Monarchs also prayed for his success at the polls stating that the Irele crown prince will make a remarkable representative of the people.
The Royal Fathers unanimously prayed for Prince Okunjimi Odimayo wishing him success in his political adventure.
Christening Odimayo, the Omobowale of Ikaleland, the Obas said he is eminently qualified to represent the people of Okitipupa/Irele federal constituency at the House of Representatives and must be elected in 2023.
Royal Fathers present at the palace of Jegun of Idepe – Okitipupa include; Jegun of Idepe – Okitipupa, His Royal Majesty Oba Michael Obatuga Adetoye, Oniju of Ijuodo, Ahaba of Ajagba, Oba T.O Adesayo, Aalu of Ode aye kingdom, Omojuwa of Ilutitun Osooro kingdom, Obagberume of Igbodigo kingdom, Iwa of Akotogbo.
