Following Wednesday night’s reported shooting attack on a construction site in Ọwọ, the Ondo state government has confirmed that two persons were injured in the attack.
Special Adviser to Governor Akeredolu on security matters, Adetunji Adeleye said the two injured are workers of Craneburg Construction Company that was attacked by yet to be identified gunmen.
According to reports, the workers, said to be security agents, whose names are yet to be known were attacked at about 9:45 pm on Wednesday during a dynamite explosion unleashed by the hoodlums.
It was gathered that the injured people have been taken to the nearest hospital and are responding to treatment.
It was also learnt that that the gunmen shot sporadically into the air and damaged the windscreens of the trucks at the construction site and thereafter fled the scene.
The Commander of the Òndó state Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, Mr Adetunji Adeleye who visited the scene of the attack said the situation is under control and urged everyone to go about their normal businesses.
