…As Business Professional Women, Ondo State Chapter holds Candle-Light Ceremony to Inspire Hope and Unity
Women in Ondo State have gathered to reflect on their shared journeys and celebrate their achievements.
The event marked by the symbolic lighting of candles served as a powerful reminder of the trailblazing women who have broken barriers in business, leadership, and professional fields.
Each candle represented hope, resilience, and unity, inspiring attendees to renew their commitment to a future where every woman’s potential is fully realized.
The ceremony highlighted both the legacy of past accomplishments and the collective ambition to drive inclusivity and excellence in every sphere of life.
Speaking at the event, the Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Women Affairs, Dr Seun Bosede Osamaye reiterated the commitment of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa-led administration to promoting and supporting all women groups in actualizing their visions for women in Ondo State.
The International Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW International) envisions a world where women have equal status at all levels and areas of society, participating alongside men in decisions made with mutual respect, fostering a more balanced and peaceful world.
Dr. Osamaye emphasized various provisions of Government to develop the business, professional and leadership potentials of women through advocacy, education, mentoring, networking, skill-building and economic empowerment programmes.
The Special Adviser invited the leadership of the BPW to visit the training centers in the Ministry of Women Affairs to have an on-the-spot assessment and also mentor the trainees.
In her response, the President of the Chapter, Pastor Grace Abebi Said “the BPW International’s goals include encouraging women and girls to develop their professional and leadership potentials, undertaking life-long education and training, and use their abilities for the benefit of others locally, nationally and internationally.
She appreciated the Governor of Ondo State for providing the resources needed to ensure that women and girls are self reliant.
