ODSG WARNS AGAINST BOARDING FEES INCREMENT IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS
The Ondo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, has suspended the enforcement of any increment in boarding fee by managements of public secondary schools across the state.
A statement by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mrs Folasade Adegoke, directed managements of public secondary schools operating boarding system to stay action on any increment forthwith.
According to the statement, arrangements are being made to convey a stakeholders’ meeting with the schools’ managements towards arriving at a strategic procedure capable of addressing such mixups.
The statement added that the state government has not approved any upward review of boarding fees in its public secondary schools and therefore regrets any embarrassment such development might have caused on parents.
