OKA-AKOKO-BORN FELIX ALE COMMENDS OLORI OLUBAKA ON MAIDEN QUEEN’S CAROLS AND CHILDREN’S PARTY

The Director,Media and Corporate Communications of the National Space Research and Development Agency of Nigeria, Dr Felix Ale has commended the successful hosting of the maiden Queen’s Carols and Children’s Party organized by Olori Adejumoke Adeleye and supported by her husband, the Olubaka,Oba(Dr)Yusuf Adebori Adeleye,OON.
The NASRDA Spokesman, a prominent indigene of Oka- Akoko who was reacting to the outcome of the event described it as symbolic and historic.
The Communication Scholar said in a beautiful testament to interfaith harmony,the Olubaka, a devout Muslim and Olori Adejumoke, a dedicated Christian came together to celebrate Christmas carol with the great people of Oka community.
Dr Ale explained that the gesture and joint efforts exemplified the power of love and unity, transcending religious boundaries to foster a sense of togetherness and mutual respect.
According to the Oka Akoko born Communications expert, the Olubaka and Olori’s initiative to host the historic event reflects their deep commitment to the well-being of the great people of Oka Akoko.
Their leadership according to Dr Ale goes beyond traditional roles, demonstrating a profound sense of social responsibility and empathy.
Dr Ale who was one time Chief Press Secretary in Ondo State said,by bringing together different generations and faiths, Oba Adebori Adeleye and Olori Adejumoke Adeleye have again set a remarkable example of how communities can celebrate diversity and unity.
The gesture according to him will undoubtedly inspire future initiatives aimed at promoting social harmony and inclusivity.
While noting that it had been the first time such an event would be held in the ancient town, Dr. Ale called on Nigerians to emulate the traditional ruler and his Olori by promoting religious harmony across the nation.
The Oka-Akoko-born Communications Scholar described as encouraging involvement of the traditional authority in reading of lessons which he said is a way of identifying with Christian faithful.
In his words, “I want to place on record that Kabiyesi Olubaka has once again demonstrated that he is a father of all and I urge all those in such revered position to emulate Oba Adebori Adeleye”.
“His Royal Majesty has always displayed this as we are all aware that he attends all Christian programmes in the town despite his status as a staunch islamic faithful and I am confident that Kabiyesi will sustain this”, Ale stressed.
“I also use this opportunity to acknowledge and commend the efforts and leadership qualities of the traditional ruler to engender rapid development in Oka Akoko, saying the reign of Olubaka has continued to witness progress and development in the ancient community”, the NASRDA Director emphasized.
The event featured dance competition, games, and raffle draw among children selected from various quarters of the community
In her welcome address, the Olori Adejumoke Adeleye, thanked her husband for his encouragement and support of her visions and activities since she assumed her role in the palace.
The Olubaka of Oka-Akoko, Oba (Dr.) Adebori Adeleye, OON, who read one of the nine carol lessons, urged moderation during the Christmas celebrations and encouraged residents to celebrate responsibly while upholding values that strengthen communal ties.
In attendance were other traditional rulers from within and outside Oka-Akoko, including the Asin of Oka-Odo, the Olori of Oloba of Oba-Akoko, and the Olusi of Owalusi Oka-Akoko.
