OLABIMTAN MOURNS ONDO APC CHIEFTAIN, HON. MRS CECILIA FAYASE
…declares her demise a colossal loss.
The Chairman of Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board, ODSUBEB, Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan, has commiserated with the family, associates and followers of an astute administrator, a political heavyweight and revered legislator, Hon. Mrs Cecilia Fayase, who slept in the Lord on Saturday the 26th of July 2026.
Olabimtan, through a statement he personally signed, described the demise of Mrs. Fayase as an irreparable loss not only to her family but also to Ondo State, Nigeria and humanity in general.
“Hon Fayase was a frontline politician and selfless community leader who used her life to touch and impact many lives. She was a seasoned politician who served her people meritoriously both as legislator and administrator.”
“She was the only Female legislator in the first Assembly of 1999 to 2003. She was a Commissioner on the board of Ondo State Teaching Service Commission, TESCOM, while I was the Chairman. She was not only diligent as a Commissioner but her contributions were also too priceless to ignore. She was also the Commissioner, Public Complaint Commission representing Ondo State.”
“She was a party loyalist to the core. The vacuum created by her departure will be too difficult to fill. Her demise is a colossal loss. She was a patriot in the true sense of it”, Olabimtan opined.
“Mrs. Fayase lived a life devoted to nation building, served in different capacities, contributing immensely to the development of various sectors in Ondo States. Her strides as a lawmaker and administrator have been platforms upon which numerous successes have been recorded.”
Olabimtan enjoined the children to build on and sustain the good legacy of their matriarch. “Hon. Cecilia Fayase served God and humanity diligently and has finished her race on earth to receive her crown of glory. She will be sorely missed. May the departed soul rest in peace”, he concluded.
