OLOYE OF OYE-EKITI , OBA ADEMOLAJU ENHANCES OYE INTERNAL SECURITY OVER THREAT OF ATTACK
The Paramount Ruler of Oye Kingdom, Oba (Sir) Michael Oluwole Ademolaju, has taken a proactive step to fortify the internal security operatives of the kingdom.
The action was premised on the threat of attack from faceless terrorist group which sent a message to Ekiti State.
Addressing stake holders in his palace, Oba Ademolaju stressed the need for inhabitants of the kingdom to collaborate with the security operatives by giving them useful information on strange movements in their respective areas.
He urged the local hunters, vigilantes and other security operatives to join hands together since security is not a one man show.
The representatives of the Federal University Oye Ekiti was also enjoined to replicate the meeting in the University Community.
” I urgently implore your management to fortify the security department to enable the University secure the teeming population of the students” , 0ba Ademolaju stressed.
According to the Royal Father, movement will be restricted as Okada riders should not work beyond 10.00 pm and warned that anyone caught after that time will be dealt with.
He appealed to the students to bear with community since their safety is the reason why the community is taken the steps .
The representative of the Federal University Oye Ekiti expressed appreciation to the Kabiesi and his Chiefs for their proactive steps to collaborate with the University on security.
In his reaction , Sir Steve Oribamise appreciated the royal father for not taking the threat of the terrorist lightly.
According to Oribamise , the steps taken is better because prevention is better than cure .
Oribamise also commended the state governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji for the creation of Amotekun and other security outfits in the state.
