
OLUBAKA FELICITATES ADENIYI AS FIRST NIGERIAN TO LEAD WORLD CUSTOMS ORGANISATION
The Olubaka and Paramount ruler of Oka Kingdom in Ondo State, Oba(Dr) Yusuf Adebori Adeleye,OON has felicitated Alhaji Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service on his emergence as Chairman of the World Customs Organization (WCO).
In a statement, the First Class Monarch and one time Chairman of Ondo State Council of Obas described Alhaji Adeniyi’s global appointment as a pride and great encouragement not only to Nigeria Customs Service but also Nigerians in general.
Oba Adebori Adeleye described the elevation of the Comptroller-General to the global position as well deserved, saying the historic elevation is indeed a symbol of excellence, strength, and recognition.
The traditional ruler emphasized that the accomplishment is far more than an individual success, pointing out that, it is a national triumph and a testimony to Nigeria’s growing stature in global governance.
The Olubaka described described the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs service as a patriotic Nigerian and highly intelligent officer who has carved a unique identity for himself over the years in the cause of his assignments.
The First Class Monarch emphasized that various reforms and administrative dexterity deployed into the Nigeria Customs Operations under Adeniyi leadership have been quite satisfactory and inspiring as they are capable of keeping the Customs service on solid footing for effective delivery and excellent performance.
Oba Adeleye urged Comptroller-General not to relent, saying he should strive ahead steadily with his exemplary performance and good leadership in order to compliment the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the realisation of the Renewed Hope Agenda of the present administration.
