OLUBAKA OF OKA AKOKO COMMENDS SECURITY AGENCIES FOR PROACTIVE RESPONSE AGAINST BANDITS
The Olubaka of Oka Akoko Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Yusuf Adebori Adeleye, OON has commended the recent proactive response by the combined efforts of the Nigerian Army and the Amotekun Corps in getting rid of bandits along the Ayere–Auga road.
Describing the development as heartwarming and highly commendable, the Olubaka noted that the decisive action taken by the security agencies is a step in the right direction toward restoring peace and safety in the Akoko region.
He emphasized that getting rid of bandits from the Isua–Ise–Auga–Akunnu and Ayere axis is a task that must be done for the peace of the Akoko people, Ondo State, and Nigeria at large.
Oba Adeleye expressed concern that road users remain at risk if the situation is not addressed, stressing that the road in question is one of the major access routes to Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, and other important cities in the northern part of the country.
The Olubaka appealed to the Ondo State Government and particularly the security agencies not to relent in their efforts to secure the area and ensure that peace and safety are sustained.
He reiterated that the protection of lives and property is paramount and must remain a priority for all stakeholders.
Oba Adeleye reaffirmed the support of Traditional rulers in Akokoland for all initiatives aimed at safeguarding the Akoko region and called on the people to continue to cooperate with security agencies in their mission to rid the land of criminal elements.
