OLUMUYIWA ADU HAILS ODIEC OVER HITCH- FREE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTION

The Chieftain of All Progressives Congress in Ondo state, Dr Barr. Olumuyiwa Adu aka Cubana has commended the Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission ( ODIEC) for the professional conduct of today’s local government election.
“From all indications, the democratic exercise confirms the indomitability of APC in Ondo state”. Dr Adu asserted.
Dr Adu said this inter alia in a press interview that was released by his media council.
Earlier today, Dr Adu also received the team of International election observers in his Akure country home.
Dr Adu ascribed the resounding victory of APC at the council polls to the well- coordinated campaigns, the popularity of the candidates and desire of the electorate to replicate Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s 18:0 victory during the last gubernatorial contest.
“The non- participation of People’s Democratic Party’s candidates in this election cannot undermine the credibility of the exercise because PDP is just one out of 18 political parties that participated”. Dr Adu stated further.
Berating the die-minute withdrawal of PDP in the election, Dr Adu opined that the lame reasons for their withdrawal was laughable as the conduct of the election was not restrained by any court of law.
“I believe they withdrew probably because they are yet to come out of the shock of their past electoral defeat!.
“Under Governor Aiyedatiwa, APC is well positioned to withstand the challenges of democracy with quality governance, and opposition parties will find it difficult to win elections again in Ondo State”. Dr Adu finally submitted.
Dr Adu encouraged the populace to expect grassroots development and impactful governance across the state as the elected officers justify their mandate.
