OLUSIJI BALOGUN URGES HOPE AS WORLD AIDS DAY CELEBRATED
As the world marks the Wirld AIDS Day 2025 with a mix challenges and hope, Olusiji Balogun, an HIV survivor, has reiterated the need to keep on living with hope and resilience
In his words, Olusiji said “As we mark the Worlds AIDS Day 2025, people living with HIV/AIDS should keep on living with hope and resilience amidst all challenges especially fund-cut.
He said the recorded significant progress in the fight against HIV/AIDS is threatened with the funding crisis which is now disrupting the goal to eradicate the virus globally in 2030.
He encouraged everyone to try and go for the test because early discovery is very paramount and key to effective management and survive because HIV never kills.
He said people should also treat those living with the virus with empathy and not discrimination and stigmatisation as the case in the society.
He also call for global solidarity in the effort to reduce the prevalent rate in the society because of the confidentiality and secrecy employed in treating the virus which should be a cause of concern even among health workers as he advocates for more awareness among the populace as it concerns the virus.
Olusiji maintained that “The last option is the first and best option which is to live and to live forever is to live in the heart of people and one should choose the best option, that is to live forever”
