Olute Stool: No Successor meeting held yet on Vacant Throne

The Head of the Olule Family of the Olute Dynasty, Pa Jacob Oladele Adepeibi says no meeting had been conveyed yet on Nominations for the filling of the vacant stool of Olute.
Pa Adepeibi’s reaction followed news making the rounds that there was a meeting held where decisions were reached on submission of the nomination list for the vacant stool following court order for the vacation of the stool by the last occupier.
The Head of the Olule Royal Lineage insisted that no meeting was held to his knowledge and he maintained that he still remained the “Olori-Ebi” who has the final say on the chieftaincy matter as regards the throne.
“I have not called any meeting to that effect, and anyone spreading such news must be mischievous and would face an ancestral curse and they failed to desist from the act.”

Pa Adepeibi noted that those who spread the fake news of shortlisted names of four princes had no power to do so as such actions could be tantamount to instigating violence in Ute Kingdom.
According to Pa Adepeibi, contestants to the Olute throne include Prince Yaya Aderosoye Omoloja, Prince Olubunmi Agbaminoja, Prince Alhaji Shehu Omoloja, Prince Abdullahi Abimbola Omoloja and, Prince Francis Amobonye
Others include Prince Gabriel Ajakaye Amobonye, Prince Idowu Adeusi Ajakaye Amobonye, Prince Ben Olu Oseboyowa, and Prince Sunday Obasoyen.
On his part, the second-in-Command to the head of the Olule Royal Lineage, Pa Michael Adesunloye said those embarking on such acts are only playing pranks and should desist from such sensitive matter capable of truncating the existing peace in the Ute Kingdom.
Pa Adesunloye called on concerned authorities, especially Ose Local Government Council, to disregard the claims of the group that held the unauthorized meeting and proclaimed nomination of would-be successor to the Olute Throne.
Meanwhile, the Special Adviser on Community Engagement to Ose Local Government Area Chairman, Dr. Saliu Omotoso said the council has not been invited to any family meeting for selection process of a new Olute as enshrined in the existing bye laws.

Dr. Omotoso noted that the council has forwarded the names of warrant chiefs for the selection process of the new Olute to the State Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and are awaiting official response.
It will be recalled that Twenty-nine years after he was installed as monarch, an Owo High Court has deposed Oba Michael Adetunji Oluwole as the Olute of Ute in the Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State
The court also restrained the deposed monarch from parading himself as the Olute of Ute.
