OMOLEYE INAUGURATED INTO HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, GUARANTEES DIVIDENDS OF GOOD GOVERNANCE
The 10th National assembly was on the 13th of June, inaugurated.
The colourful occasion which commenced with the election of the leaders of both Chambers of the national assembly advanced to the swearing-in of elected members.
Hon. Biodun Omoleye, Member of the House of Representatives representing Ekiti Federal Constituency II, and other elected members of the house swore by the Constitution to “be faithful and bear true allegiance to the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.
The inauguration marks the commencement of activities for the 10th national assembly.
A beautiful reception followed later in the evening. Hon. Omoleye was received in company of his wife, Mrs Olushola Omoleye, with cheers from representatives of groups, party chieftains, Local Government Chairmen, Ward Councilors, community leaders and other well wishers.
Some of the dignitaries that graced the occasion are the Chairman of APC in Ondo state, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, former Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Victor Olabimtan, Former acting Governor of Ekiti State, Rt. Hon.Tope Ademiluyi, member of Ekiti Stste House of Assembly, Hon. Ademola Ojo, Ijero LGA chairman, Hon. Adeola Adeyemo, Irewolede LCDA Chairman, Mrs. Dupe Bakare, Irede LCDA chairman, Hon. Gbenga Abobade, APC Chairmen from My Ijero, Ekiti West and Efon, former Ekiti House of Assembly members, Hon. Gbenga Odebunmi and Hon. Gabriel Ogundele.
Members of the HBO women team guided his steps with with various beautiful indigenous tunes as he made his way into the hall. The evening of merriment provided guests the opportunity to unwind, celebrate the grande victory, eulogise the celebrant for his decades of effective leadership and share pieces of advice as he takes up his new Legislative responsibilities.
Omoleye in his address gave all thanks to God for the grace to serve.
He went on to appreciate all guests who were present for their love and support, stating that his emergence as member of the House of Representatives was for every member of Ekiti Central Federal Constituency II.
He went on to conclude by appealing for love to reign and for unity to persist within members of the constituency.
He crystalised that the time to get to work has come so as to ensure the fulfilment of his campaign promises and to guarantee a better life for members of his constituency, indegenes of Ekiti State and citizens of Nigeria in general.
The evening ended in festivity as guests wined, dinned and danced to the scintillating music that filled the air. It was without doubt an expression of joy for all who were present.
As the 10th assembly kickstarts activities, it is the hope of every well meaning citizen of Nigeria that in no time, as it has become the trademark of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Administration, they record land mark successes and join in the quest to ultimately renew the hopes of Nigerians.
