ONDO 2024: PDP PICKS REPS MEMBER, AKINGBASO ‘FESSYWEST’ AS DEPUTY GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has picked the member representing Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, Hon Festus Akingbaso popularly known as ‘FessyWest’ as its deputy governorship candidate in Ondo 2024 governorship election.
Akingbaso, a former Ondo State House of Assembly member was named as running mate to PDP Candidate, Ajayi Agboola on Sunday.
The party’s Publicity Secretary, Hon Ikantu Peretei confirmed the development to newsmen in Akure.
Peretei said the Deputy governorship candidate would be publicly unveiled in few days time.
According to him “Yes, the news is true, Fessywest is the Ondo PDP deputy governorship candidate and he would be unveiled in soon.”
Agboola and Akingbaso will face Ondo State Governor, Aiyetidawa during the governorship election slated for November 16 this year.
PDP Deputy Governorship candidate for Ondo 2024 hails from Idanre in the Central senatorial district of the state.
Fessywest name will be used to replace Samuel Ogunmusi whose name was earlier submitted to INEC as a placeholder.
