ONDO ASSEMBLY WRITES DEPUTY GOVERNOR ON ALLEGATIONS OF GROSS MISCONDUCT
The Ondo State House of Assembly has directed the Clerk of the House, Benjamin Jaiyeola to write the Deputy Governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa over allegations of Gross Misconduct levelled against him.
The Petition signed by Nine out of 26 Members of the House was read during the plenary presided over by the Speaker, Olamide Oladiji.
The notice of motion on the allegations of Gross Misconduct levelled against the Deputy Governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa was read by the Clerk of the House, Benjamin Jaiyeola during Plenary presided over by the Speaker, Olamide Oladiji.
While urging the hallowed chamber to do the needful on the matter at hand, the majority leader, Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi said the move is in line with the Constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria and the motion was seconded by the Lawmaker representing Akoko South West 2, Tope Agbulu.
According to the Speaker, Olamide Oladiji, the Petition has been appended by nine out of the 26 Members of the House.
Meanwhile, a law to amend the Ondo State law commission,2006 to change the tenure of the members of the commission to part time tenure of office scaled through second reading and was handed over to the house Committee on Judiciary for further legislative actions.
