A Senatorial hopeful for Ondo Central Senatorial district on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Agbaka Afolabi Obasuyi has said that his eventual emergence come 2023 would enable him serve the people in a higher capacity as the senator representing the district at the National Assembly.
The monarch who was speaking with Naijaparrots Reporter, Demola Kunlere in Akure said the 2023 general elections would create another opportunity to vote for people of credible character who are tested and trusted.
He affirmed that his interest is based on the passion to better the lives of his people just as he stressed that he will use the opportunity to attract socio-economic and political development to the people of his constituency.
Agbaka Obasuyi who shares the belief that the legislature is the bedrock of democracy that provides numerous opportunities to make a positive difference through people-centric legislation and effective oversight of the executive arm of government said his representation will engender the rule of law, prosperity, equity, justice, progress, peace and true national unity for all.
While also using the opportunity to charge the people to get their Permanent Voter Cards as they have the right to choose those who represent them, the aspirant called on the electorate to exercise that power to ensure a rebirth of the nation.
The Agbaka of Alagbaka emphasized that he has put in place structures and processes that would facilitate robust representation with a view to ensuring that the people are not left out of the unfolding development initiatives in the country.
On the issue of his monarchical status and political projection, Agbaka Obasuyi stated that it is not the first time such would happen in Nigeria as the Presidential Candidate of Alliance For Democracy in 1999, Chief Olu Falae contested even as the Olu of Ilu-Abo.
He argued that such sentiments should be ignored in the process of impacting positively on the lives of the people and the land, assuring that his emergence could only add value to the existence of his people.
