ONDO DEEP SEAPORT: OLOGBESE HAILS GOVERNOR AKEREDOLU

The Commissioner for Regional Integration and Diaspora Relations, Prince Boye Ologbese, has applauded the Governor, Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu SAN, CON over the approval to establish Ondo State Deep SeaPort.

Prince Ologbese, who spoke with newsmen in Akure said the Governor had shown a high degree of commitment to the project in a bid to improve the economy of the State.

According to him, “it is heartwarming to finally witness the long awaited approval of the Deep Seaport, it is a major factor to achieving sustainable energies and once operation commences, would attract massive investors into the State”

According to a statement signed by his Media Officer, Debbie Funmilayo, the Commissioner added that the approval is indeed the right step in the right direction towards the industrial breakthrough of Ondo State and will certainly enhance Diaspora Direct Investment (DDI) necessary to drive an accelerated development for the State at large.

The Commissioner said, since the inception of Akeredolu’s Administration in 2017, many promises made have been fulfilled gradually, but the approval of the Deep SeaPort is most remarkable among the rest.

Prince Boye Ologbese also appreciated Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/ CEO Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), for allowing Ondo State to feature as a special focus on National Diaspora Investment Summit 2022 (NDIS) a brainchild of NiDCOM where the market potentials of Ondo Deep Seaport was displayed through Ondo State Development and Investment Promotion Agency (ONDIPA) and other relevant agencies, which held in November last year.

In the same vein, the Commissioner appreciated the effort of Ekiti State Governor, Execellency Abiodun Abayomi Oyebanji, ablely represented by the Special Adviser on Economic Planning, Mr. Niyi Adebayo for throwing their weight and support behind the declaration of Ondo Deep Seaport at the NDIS summit 2022.

Prince Ologbese pledged continued partnerships and collaborations from the Ministry in ensuring that massive attention is given to attract both national and international investments for transformational achievements for the State.
