
ONDO DIASPORA COMMUNITY ENDORSES AIYEDATIWA FOR 2024 GUBER ELECTIONS

Ondo State citizens in Diaspora have unanimously endorsed the Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa as the choiced 2024 gubernatorial candidate under the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ondo state.
The Ondo State Diaspora community revealed their intention during a virtual interview session with journalists and the former commissioner for Regional Integration and Diaspora Relations/ convener, Prince Boye Ologbese, on the endorsement of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, yesterday.
Prince Ologbese giving his remarks said Ondo State is blessed with huge mineral deposits, rich forest resources and favorable climatic conditions suitable for massive investment opportunities, increased partnerships that would foster economic expansion.
“The Security network in the state has gradually become formidable, that aspect plays a crucial role for our diaspora knowing full well that they can operate their businesses with ease” he said.
The Diaspora representative Dr. Bashir .O. Obasekola, Continental Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Organization Europe, Russia resident said that there is no turning back at rendering massive support for the Governor due to the trust that he reposed in us as a capable leader, even as it is evident in his efforts to carry on the Late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s legacy for the benefit of the citizens.
According to Dr. Bashir, part of the reasons for showing support and throwing massive weight behind Mr. Governor is because he was part of the already existing system and the time is crucial for strategic decision making, even as the polls are fast approaching.
Without mincing words Dr. Bashir said “Irrespective of our location, we take to cognizance our homeland and any issue that affects our dear State affects us as a whole; we believe Ondo State is on a destination to progress with the right man to pilot its affairs towards continued peace and development”.

United Kingdom, said he was certain that in the area of Ondo State Diaspora remittances, no other governor can have a more solid continuity plan. “The contribution of the Ondo State Diaspora community in terms of remittances is huge and crucial to the state’s agriculture, healthcare, education, technology and infrastructural development; we are ready to do more“

C.E.O Optima Physical Therapy New York, USA, added “We cannot sweep under the carpet the efforts of the state government at obtaining licence approval for the Ondo State Deep-seaport, a project that has the potential of making the state become the maritime hub in West Africa. The previous administration carried out proactive measures as regards it and we are certain that the Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, being fully aware of the level of progress shall follow-up on its proper commencement in earnest”.

He said “The concept of the smart city showcases multifacted angles of development that would leave a lasting legacy for the economy of the State; we have the assurance that the Governor will not renade in the quest to diversify the economy”
The Convener, Prince Boye Ologbese noted that by and large, Ondo State in Diaspora community is certain that Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa will effectively engage the Diaspora towards sustainable strategies to attract inward investment and mobilize resources for rapid growth and just as they have been contributing their quota to the social, economic and infrastructural development of the State, they would not relent.
