ONDO GOVERNMENT RESCUES ANOTHER STRANDED NURSING MOTHER IN AKURE
The Ondo State Government has again rescued another nursing mother found roaming the streets.
The woman simply identified as Omolara was said to be moving aimlessly and also having stop-overs at intervals in Akure the state capital.
Following a tip-off, officials of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development led by the Director of Social Welfare, Mr. Oyegunwa got in contact with the woman near the FRSC Headquarters on Akure-Ilesa expressway and moved her to rehabilitation home.
Information has it that the nursing mother who hails from Ogun State but resides in Lagos voluntarily boarded a vehicle from Lagos to Akure apparently without any set objectives.
In a chat with the Special Adviser to Governor Aiyedatiwa on Women Affairs, Dr. Seun Osamaye, she said the nursing mother would be given medical attention immediately.
Osamaye said all the required follow-ups would be effected to ensure that she has a normal life again.
The Special Adviser used the opportunity to appeal to members of the public to keep availing the ministry with relevant information that could assist the office in ensuring that no segment is neglected in the society in line with the government of inclusivity run by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
Osamaye also added that the other nursing mother earlier rescued is doing well and would soon be reunited with her family.
