
ONDO GOVERNMENT RESCUES HOMELESS WOMAN WITH BABY, ASSURES OF CONTINUED SUPPORT FOR THE VULNERABLE
Ondo State government has rescued a middle-aged nursing mother, Mrs Elizabeth Iromidayo whose video has been circulating online wandering around Ala quarters in Akure.
The 35-year-old woman who was rescued alongside her three-month-old baby was discovered to be from the Aiyetoro community, Ilaje local government area.
The Special Adviser to Ondo state Governor on Women Affairs, Dr Seun Osamaye said the woman has been provided with shelter by the state ministry of women affairs for immediate mental evaluation, diagnosis and prompt treatment.
She said the rescued woman was responding well to treatment alongside her 3 months old baby, assuring that more investigations would be conducted to unravel her family.
Dr Osamaye also reiterated Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s continued efforts at prioritizing the welfare of all citizens, especially the vulnerable ones while appreciating individuals who brought the matter to government’s attention (Barr Allen Sowore(SA to Mr Governor on Strategic Communication) , Mr Ogunmola Oluwaseun Joshua (Ogbeni OB Sugar), Mr Bayo Oosha), Mrs Akeem Bola Oreofe (the Good samaritan who stopped her from wandering around), Health Personnel and Ministry of Women Affairs Staffs for their prompt action (Nurse Aarinola Adamolekun (Member, Hospital Management Board), Mr Oyegunwa(Director, Social Welfare) and Mr Egbekun Amose( Chief Social Welfare).
