
ONDO HEAD OF SERVICE BAYO PHILIP CHARGES NEW STAFF CLUB EXECUTIVE ON IMPACTFUL TENURE
…As former President, Dr Olayemi Browne hands over to Mike Olaleye
A new Executive Committee has been sworn in to run the affairs of the Ondo State Senior Staff Club, Akure, for the next three years.
This is consequent on the successful completion of the tenure of the immediate past Exco led by Dr. Olayemi Browne and the recent election to fill the various positions by members of the club.
Mr Mike Olaleye emerged the new president while Caleb Olowojola and Sunday Ikoto got the positions of the Vice President and the General Secretary respectively.
Others are Ladele Ambrose as the Assistant General Secretary, Ekundayo Olaniyi, Treasurer, Ogunmola Olawale, Financial Secretary, Aliu Bamidele, Bar Secretary, Yakubu Lineka, Legal Office. Also, Afuye Oluwasina emerged the Sport Secretary, Ayodeji Fatoki, Public Relation Officer, Ogidan Olusola, Auditor and Adebiyi Oluwabunmi as the Social Secretary.
The state Head of Service, Bayo Philip, while inaugurating the new Exco charged them to strive to make their tenure impactful and surpass the laudable performances of the previous leadership.
Philip applauded electoral committee and members of the club for the peaceful election leading to the emergence of the new Executive, adding that it must do everything possible to justify the mandate freely given them by members.
He stressed the importance of security within the club premises, challenging the new leadership to make it a priority to earn the confidence of members and guests alike.
Speaking earlier, the out gone President, Dr Browne, thanked members for the cooperation extended to him and other members of his executive committee which resulted to success recorded, stressing the importance of collaboration in the development of the club.
He enjoined the new leadership to ensure inclusiveness in its administration as no one could be smarter than everyone.
Speaking on behalf of the new Executive, the new President, Mike Olaleye expressed the readiness of his team to build on and surpass the records of their predecessors in taking the club to greater height.
According to him, additional measures would be put in place to make the club more conducive for members as access would be regulated for all categories of membership without any dear of intimidation.
He therefore called on members to join hands with the leadership as it would work towards the over all development of the club and the clubites.
