
ONDO HOS, BAYO PHILIP INAUGURATES SENIOR STAFF CLUB PROJECTS
The importance of adequate time for relaxation and recreation by workers after busy work schedule has again been emphasized.
Ondo State Head of Service, Bayo Philip made the emphasis while commissioning new and renovated facilities at the Ondo State Senior Staff Club in the Akure, the state capital.
Philip, who lauded the Executive Committee of the club under the leadership of the President, Dr Olayemi Browne, commended its efforts at transforming the infrastructural facilities within the club for the benefits of the workers in the state, urging members to make good use of them for recreation after their ever tasking schedules at work.
He attributing the feats achieved in the development of the club’s facilities to contributions of focused leadership of previous leaders, calling on successive Executive after the outgoing President Dr. Olayemi, to ensure they build on the successes recorded so far by adding their own layers in the development of the club.
While thanking the State Governor, Dr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his kind disposition to the course of the workforce, the Head of Service reaffirmed the commitment of the present government to supporting the club in the area of giving the facilities necessary facelift.
The high point of the event was the official commissioning of a newly built 10-room Hon. Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa Chalet, two renovated bars, the Head of Service Bar and Prince Ade Okiki Bar, all within the club premises.
Earlier in his welcome address, the President, Dr Olaniyi Olayemi Browne, expressed delight on the successful completion and commissioning of the chalet which was named after the governor for his commitment to infrastructural development and people-centred leadership.
Dr Browne, whose tenure as the President of the would end later this week, however called on the state government to assist the incoming adminstration of the club in the area of more infrastructural projects such asphalt laying other remaining parts of the club premises among other things.
The event also featured presentation of awards to deserving individual such as the Head of Service, Bayo Philip, who bagged the Public Service Excellence Award, Dr Olayemi Browne, Distinguished Leadership Award and Opeyemi Akoledowo, conferred with Staff of the Year Award.
