
ONDO MINERAL RESOURCES COMMISSIONER ALABI HOLDS STAKEHOLDERS MEETING WITH AKOKO SOUTH WEST LGA LEADERS
The Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Engr. (Dr.) Johnson Alabi, has held a stakeholders meeting with leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Akoko South West local government area in Ondo State.
Speaking during the meeting, the Commissioner said the meeting was a directive from the Governor Dr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who instructed that all leaders should urgently meet and submit names of their local government party members in the local government area so they can benefit from the Renewed Hope Initiative from the stables of the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“The President himself is particularly interested in that local government area and requested for the information so as to expedite action for the area to benefit from the conditional Renewable Hope Initiative.
Explaining further he said so far, only three thousand names have been submitted, while the targeted number is for fifteen thousand persons. He beckoned on the councillors, saying that it behooves them to take up the task for a quicker delivery, noting that they are already behind the stipulated period given to them by the Governor.
Alabi stated clearly that this particular gesture would not be business as usual, assuring that the collated names of members would receive disbursement as at when due and it is dear to the Governor’s heart that no one is left out.
He implored the leaders to ensure balanced selection when the need for meeting arises and encouraged party members to begin to make themselves more available for meetings, so that the party can be more united and formidable against external forces.
He also hinted that in a recent meeting with the Governor, Dr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa and some APC stalwarts, a communique was disseminated declaring for “Asiwaju 2027”. The caption he said, is a charge to all card carrying members to step up campaigns for the President so that he can continue with the goods works already happening in the state and the nation at large.
Engr. Alabi seized the opportunity to appreciate the Governor for his magnanimity in complementing the effort of the President in carrying out laudable programmes for the state, expressing the hope that the achievements recorded would be sustained and improved upon.
The Akoko South West Chairman, Hon. Ayo Ajana, appreciated the Governor and his representative, Engr. Alabi for the gesture saying the meeting was necessary to intimate members with certain beneficial opportunities available to them from the Federal government and gather more leaders for the task ahead.
He urged the stakeholders and executives to ensure they return to their wards and replicate the message to their members, urging them to throw more support for Governor Aiyedatiwa in his quest to take the state to enviable heights.

Yinka Alabi, Vice Chairman, Akoko South West, Hon.Theophilus Sakara, Fmr. Chairman Akoko S/W, Hon. Oloruntogbe, State Party Executive, S. K. Fabonade, Hon. Ope Igbede, Hon. David. Ajobiewe, Hon. Felemu Gbegudu, Councillors, Representatives from 15 LG ward areas, transition committee members.
