ONDO MOVES TO BOOST POWER SUPPLY AS SPECIAL ADVISER VISITS POWER GAS FACILITY IN ORE
In a decisive step toward improving electricity supply across Ondo State, the Special Adviser on Power to the Governor, Engr. (Dr.) Johnson Jaiyeola Alabi has paid a working visit to the Power Gas facility in Ore.
The visit is part of ongoing efforts by the Ondo State Government to explore viable partnerships with private sector players, particularly in the area of deploying Independent Power Plants (IPPs) powered by Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) turbines. The project, currently being championed by the Ondo State Power Company Ltd (OSPCL), aims to provide sustainable and affordable electricity to various parts of the state.
Engr. Alabi, while inspecting the facility, emphasized the state government’s commitment under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, to foster energy development that supports economic growth and improves the quality of life for residents.
“This administration is resolute in ensuring that every part of Ondo State has access to reliable power. We believe partnerships like this will be instrumental in achieving that goal,” he stated.
The Governor’s vision, according to the Special Adviser, is to create a coordinated and inclusive power sector framework that delivers real impact to communities and supports the state’s industrial ambitions.
According to a statement signed by the Media Officer to the Special Adviser to Governor Aiyedatiwa on Power, Debbie Funmilayo, discussions from the visit are expected to pave the way for more detailed engagements between the state and Power Gas in the weeks ahead.
