
ONDO NPC FEDERAL COMMISSIONER KEMI IYANTAN RALLIES TRADITIONAL RULERS AHEAD OF POPULATION CENSUS
…Takes Advocacy visit to Bolorunduro and Epe Communities in Ondo East LGA
Ahead of the forthcoming Population Census, the National Population Commission in Ondo State has continued to sensitize and educate Nigerians on the need to participate fully in the enumeration exercise.
The federal commissioner representing Ondo State in the commission, Mrs Kemi Iyantan on Friday led the management and staff to Ondo East local government area on advocacy visit to stakeholders.
Speaking at the council secretariat in Bolorunduro, the federal commissioner said the commission is already putting in place all required structures and processes to ensure the success of the exercise.
Mrs. Iyantan commended the Chairman of the local government, Hon Joshua Fola Ogunduyulemi for his support to the commission, noting that the taak of generating adequate data is a collective responsibility.
She urged the council boss to continue to play his part as the results of the exercise would be beneficial to all sectors of the country at all levels.
The federal commissioner and her team also visited the Palace Oba Oyebade Isaac Akinkuade of Epe Kingdom where she enlightened the community on the importance of the forthcoming population census and urged residents of the community to participate fully.
In his remarks, Oba Oyebade Isaac Akinkuade who responded through the Palace Secretary assured that Epe Kingdom are always ready to support government efforts aimed at bringing progress and development to the community.
Pastor (Mrs) Kemi Iyantan also used the opportunity to inspect materials of the commission ahead of the exercise and examined the readiness of the staff in the area for the exercise.
