
ONDO SENIOR STAFF CLUB ELECTION: INCUMBENT PRESIDENT O’BROWNE WITHDRAWS FROM RACE
The President of Ondo Senior Staff Club, Dr. Olayemi O’Browne has withdrawn from the election of the club slated for Friday June 27th.
The incumbent was expected to contest for another term by members and his close supporters but the outgoing President decided to “step back” his earlier decision to participate in the poll.
This was revealed in a statement personally signed by him and made public on the WhatsApp platform of the club on Thursday, 19th June, 2025.
In his words, “I express my deepest gratitude for your unwavering loyalty and support throughout my tenure as President of the Senior Staff Club”.
” Your trust in me and my team has meant the world and I’m humbled by the enthusiasm you showed for my potential second term”.
“However, due to unforeseen personal circumstances, I’ve made the difficult decision to step back from my plans to run for a second term. I understand this may come as a surprise, I apologize for any disappointment this might cause. Please know that my decision wasn’t taken lightly, I humbly request that you accept and respect it”.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to have served our club and confident that it will continue to thrive. I’m excited to support our incoming President, a like-minded individual with a passion for developing our great club. He has vowed to take our community to new heights and I have no doubt he’ll succeed. I urge you to rally around him and his team, as you did mine, to ensure his success”.
