ONDO SENIOR STAFF CLUB SETS RECORDS STRAIGHT ON DUES PAYMENT, HONOURARY MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION
“…We wish to state clearly that the Governor holds civil servants in high esteem and has consistently demonstrated his commitment to their welfare…”
“…The claim that civil servants have been directed to pay ₦14,000 to the Club is completely false and misleading….”
The Ondo State Senior Staff Club, under the leadership of its President, Comrade, Mayor Mike Olaleye, and the Executive Committee, wishes to debunk the false and misleading information currently circulating online from unscrupulous individuals attempting to tarnish the image of our dear Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
For the purpose of clarity, we wish to set the record straight. Civil servants from Grade Level 7 and above have always contributed a stipulated percentage as monthly deductions to the Ondo State Senior Staff Club.
These deductions are officially processed through the Office of the Accountant-General of the State as part of the established arrangement.
The claim that civil servants have been directed to pay the sum of ₦14,000 to the Senior Staff Club is completely false, misleading, and the handiwork of enemies of progress who seek to misinform the public and create unnecessary tension within the state workforce and the Office of the Governor.
In recent times, the club has witnessed an influx of unidentified individuals who are not civil servants, thereby causing overcrowding and raising security concerns within the club premises.
This situation has generated great concern among club members. In view of the prevailing security challenges in the state, the Executive Committee resolved that proper identification measures must be implemented.
Consequently, bona fide civil servants are requested to present their printed payslips for identification when visiting the club. Non-members who wish to associate with the club as honorary members are required to obtain a membership form for ₦2,000 and pay an annual due of ₦12,000. Upon completion, an honorary membership identity card will be issued, and their details will be properly documented in the club’s records for future reference if necessary.
The President, Comrade, Mayor Mike Olaleye, has been working assiduously with the Executive Committee to ensure that sanity and order are restored within the club. He has also embarked on significant innovations and infrastructural improvements within the club premises in order to enhance security and provide a more conducive environment for members to relax and interact.
It is unfortunate that certain disgruntled elements are attempting to misrepresent this administrative decision in order to undermine the good work and leadership of our amiable Governor. We wish to clearly state that the Governor holds civil servants in high esteem and has consistently demonstrated his commitment to their welfare by ensuring that salaries and other emoluments are paid as and when due.
We therefore emphasize that no individual or group can create enmity between the Governor and the civil servants in the state.
The Ondo State Senior Staff Club remains committed to promoting unity, welfare, and cooperation among civil servants while supporting policies and initiatives that enhance the progress and stability of the state.
We urge civil servants and the general public in Ondo State to disregard the misinformation being circulated, as it is entirely false and unfounded.
