ONDO: SEPTEMBER SANITATION EXERCISE HOLDS WITH RESTRICTION OF MOVEMENT
The September edition of the monthly environmental sanitation exercise will hold across Ondo State this Saturday, September 27th, 2025.
In line with the directive of the Hon. Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Tob Loko, the exercise is to be observed with restriction of human and vehicular movements during the period of the exercise, that is between the hours of 7 -10 am in the morning.
A statement by the General Manager, Ondo State waste management Authority, Mr Olajumbu Adekunle, urged residents to take advantage of the period to clean up their environment, including removal of silts and debris from their adjoining drainages and clearing of bushes within their surroundings.
Mr Olajumbu said anyone found loitering or engaging in other activities unrelated to the exercise during the environmental hour will be arrested and prosecuted.
He assured the residents of the State of the present administration’s commitment towards a cleaner, disease-free and healthier Ondo State.
