
ONDO TO COMMENCE NIGERIA’S 65TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY WITH JUMAT SERVCE
The Ondo State Government is set to commence activities marking the 65th Independence Anniversary of Nigeria with a Jumat Service at the Akure Central Mosque.
The event which is expected to attract top government functionaries, community and political leaders as well as other stakeholders in the state is slated for Friday September 26th, 2025.
In a statement made public by the Permanent Secretary, Political and Economic Affairs Department of the Governor’s Office, Chief Dele Akinnagbe, the anniversary would continue on Sunday with a thanksgiving service.
The service is slated for Chapel of Annunciation located in the premises of Archbishop Vinning College of Theology in the state capital.
The ceremony would be rounded off with Match Past and Parade at the Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Arcade, Igbaroro Road, Akure.
The statement also assured that all structures and processes have been put in place to ensure a hitch-free celebration.
