
ONDO TO CONSIDER PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS FOR PERMANENT SECRETARY APPOINTMENTS
…As Aiyedatiwa Presents Letters of Promotion To Over 1200 Primary School Teachers
Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has reiterated his unwavering commitment to the welfare of public servants.
The Governor also assured that regular promotion of workers and prompt payment of salaries would continue to remain the priority of his administration.
The Governor was represented by Chairman of State Universal Basic Education Board(SUBEB), Rt Hon. Victor Olabimtan at the presentation of promotion letters to no fewer than 1200 primary school teachers in the state at the event held at the SUBEB headquarters in Akure.
Aiyedatiwa used the occasion to raise the hope that primary school teachers would be considered for accounting officer positions just like their counterparts in secondary schools.
The Governor charged the beneficiaries to be diligent and committed to duty, stressing that “to whom much is given, much is expected”, emphasizing that teachers must justify the huge investment in the education sector by giving their best.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary in the Board, Mr. Adewale Omomowo had acknowledged the dedication of the newly promoted teachers in shaping the lives of future generations.
Omomowo expressed deep appreciation to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the Chairman of the Board, Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan for recognizing and rewarding the efforts of teachers.
According to Mr. Omomowo, the symbolic presentation was designed to encourage the beneficiaries to remain committed and continue to excel in their careers.
In a goodwill message, the Chairman of all Local Government Education Secretaries ,Dr Omololu expressed profound appreciation to Mr. Governor for recruitment of new teachers.
He however appealed for more recruitment in line with the Governor’s earlier promise of employing 500 teachers annually.
Similarly, the Chairman of Nigerian Union of Teachers, Comrade F. O. Akintoroye who appreciated the Governor for the promotions and symbolic presentation pledged to continue supporting teaching and learning across the state.
Speaking on behalf of the promoted teachers, Mrs. Akinola Mujirat Blessing expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Ondo State Government for the recognition and promised renewed dedication to duty.
