OSE COUNCIL BOSS CLEMENT OJO IMPOUNDS TRACTOR AS SUSPECTED OFFICIALS ATTEMPT TO CART AWAY EQUIPMENT
Ose Local Government Chairman, Hon. Barr. Clement Kolapo Ojo, has impounded a tractor from individuals who claimed to be officers from the Ondo State Ministry of Agriculture but lacked any means of identification.
The alleged officials were attempting to cart away agricultural equipment worth billions of naira from the Leventis School of Agriculture, Idoani.
Hon. Ojo, who was visiting communities affected by a recent rainstorm to assess damages and sympathize with residents, was shocked to discover the unauthorized activity.
Acting swiftly, he and his team retrieved several mechanized farm implements, including plows, a tractor bucket, a ridger, and other valuable items.
Reports indicate that at least three tractors and additional equipment had already been taken before the chairman’s intervention.
Following the incident, Hon. Ojo visited the Nigerian Police Force at the Idoani Divisional Headquarters, instructing that the impounded tractor must not be released without his directive and should be properly secured.
This development aligns with the current administration’s commitment to prioritizing agriculture in Ose Local Government, reinforcing efforts to safeguard public resources and agricultural infrastructure.
