
POLITICIAN, COMMUNITY LEADER OLUSIJI BALOGUN MARKS EVENT WITH MEDICAL OUTREACH
As part of activities to mark the birthday of Aremo Olusiji Balogun, his NGO, Olusiji Balogun Foundation (OBF) has organized a medical outreach tagged “Saving Lives” for the people of his constituency on Saturday September 7th.
The medical outreach which included free medical check-up, medical talk and distribution of drugs was carried out in Ase-Akoko, Akoko North-West local government area of Ondo State.
His Royal Highness, Oba Aderemi Ilesanmi Ogidan, Alase of Ase-Akoko Kingdom praised the efforts of the organizers.
According to him, the kind gestures of the son of the soil , Aremo Olusiji Balogun should be emulated.
The traditional ruler in attendance with his chiefs also eulogised the medical personnel for the enlightenment given to the people of the community concerning their health as he advised them to take good care of their health.
The leader of the medical team, who gave the health talk educated those present of the importance of knowing their genotypes, especially before marriage as many people are ignorant of the implications even on unborn children and he also gave talks on how to manage various diseases including diabetes and hypertension.
The celebrator and founder of the foundation, Aremo Olusiji Balogun, who said the major reason of having the outreach is his own way of thanking God for sparing his life and giving him opportunity to serve his people at this level.
He thanked all those in attendance, using the medium to inform all that one of the constituent underwent a successful surgery courtesy the foundation and he is recuperating and also expressed his desire to continue organizing the event annually.
In his words, ”this year’s outreach was organized with little resources at his disposal, as he will involve his friends and well-wishers in subsequent editions with more resources because it is one of the avenues to giving back to the society.”
