PRESIDENT TINUBU CELEBRATES PROFESSOR ANTHONY ADEGBULUGBE ON 70TH BIRTHDAY

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended heartfelt congratulations to Professor Anthony Adegbulugbe, Chancellor of Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State, on the occasion of his 70th birthday, celebrated on April 2.
In a message commemorating the milestone, President Tinubu lauded Professor Adegbulugbe for his outstanding achievements and significant contributions across academia, evangelism, business, and philanthropy.
Reflecting on their shared experiences, President Tinubu recalled the memorable occasion in October 2019 when both he and Professor Adegbulugbe received honorary doctorates at Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti.
The event, which also honoured the Sultan of Sokoto, His Majesty Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, and the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Ugochukwu Achebe, highlighted Professor Adegbulugbe’s distinguished intellectual presence and his unwavering dedication and humility.
The President also acknowledged Professor Adegbulugbe’s remarkable academic journey, noting his graduation from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1976 with a First-Class degree in Electrical Engineering, achieving a perfect Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.0. This exceptional accomplishment marked him as an outstanding scholar from an early stage in his career.
President Tinubu expressed confidence in Professor Adegbulugbe’s continued pursuit of excellence and anticipated his ongoing contributions to national development.
He extended his warm wishes to the professor and his wife, Princess Afolake Adegbulugbe, hoping for many more years of good health and abundant blessings.
