PRIME PROPERTY: HOW A UNIVERSITY CAMPUS DREAM BECAME AN INTERNATIONAL PLATFORM TO SIMPLIFY REAL ESTATE TRANSACTIONS — BRAINBOX ADE-ADEMOLA
Turning a Dream into Reality.
Every great idea starts with a spark, a moment of inspiration.
For me, that moment came in 2013, during my diploma days at the Federal University of Technology.
Back then, I envisioned a platform that would make it easy for students to rent accommodations around school without stress.
I called it Easy-Rent and even sketched out how the website would look on paper.
But as with many dreams, lack of funds kept me from turning that vision into reality.
My journey wasn’t without its challenges. In 2014, I wrote a proposal for Easy Land Buy, a project aimed at making land ownership easier and more accessible.
I submitted this proposal to the then Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose. Unfortunately, because I was young and lacked direct access to the governor, the project was hijacked by a politician.
It was a disheartening experience but it did not deter my determination to find innovative ways to make housing accessible for all.
Fast forward to 2020. My passion for making life easier—especially when it came to housing—only grew stronger.
This time, I focused on something even bigger: helping people in the informal sector own land through installment payments.
One of the biggest challenges I noticed was that many people struggled to save money consistently.
To address this, I came up with the idea of the Metal Saving Box (piggy bank).
Here’s how it worked: Individuals saved their money in the box and brought it to their meetings, where we opened it to deposit their land savings.
This simple but effective solution eventually gave birth to the Artisan Innovation Estate, located opposite the airport, under our Easy Build platform.
In 2024, another opportunity to give back presented itself. We organized a 3-month free training on UI/UX design for young people, including my son, who was one of the beneficiaries.
What happened next was nothing short of amazing.
While going through my old proposal files, my son came across the sketch I had made for Easy-Rent back in 2013—a year before he was born.
He came to me and said, “Daddy, I want us to build this platform and make it even better than you imagined.”
His words sparked something in me. With his determination and creativity, he took the lead and designed the UI/UX interface for me to review.
When he showed me his work, I was amazed. It was far beyond anything I could have imagined back in 2013.
That moment gave me the courage to share my full dream with him—one that went far beyond just renting or buying houses. I told him about my vision for a platform where:
People could rent, buy, or sell properties effortlessly.
Landlords, agents, and developers could manage properties seamlessly through a digital dashboard.
Tenants could connect with reliable artisans for repairs and services.
Co-owners could collaboratively invest in real estate with transparency.
Documentation and agreements could be automated and simplified.
With the help of his instructor, my son developed a workable framework for the platform.
From there, our company’s IT team brought the vision to life, building something that exceeded my wildest expectations.
And now, that dream has a name: PrimeProperty—an all-in-one real estate and property management platform designed to make life easier for everyone.
The Launch of PrimeProperty
Today, January 31st, 2025, we officially launch PrimeProperty to the world.
What started as a student’s dream in 2013 has grown into a platform that simplifies real estate, empowers landlords, helps artisans thrive, and makes co-ownership possible.
I’m incredibly proud of this journey and grateful for the people who helped make it happen—especially my son, whose curiosity, dedication, and passion reignited my own.
Together, we’re not just launching a platform; we’re building a community and creating solutions that will impact lives.
