

Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Friday promised that the State government would do an holistic investigation into the alleged shooting of student of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo ( RUGIPO ).
Aiyedatiwa made this promise while addressing the aggrieved RUGIPO students who were at the Governor’s Office, Alagbaka Akure protesting the alleged killing of one Folarera Ademola, an ND1 student by Amotekun Corps.
The Deputy Governor, speaking further on the sad incident, appealed to the protesting students to control their emotions by offering words or actions that can heal pains.



“Ondo State Government shares in the pains of losing this promising student, it was a painful thing as we pray that we will not lose another life”.
“On behalf of Mr Governor, we extends our heartfelt condolences to the immediate families of the deceased and Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo ” .
“The government remained deeply saddened by the unfortunate incident, and as a responsible government, we are mindful of the duty of care imposed upon us to ensure the safety of our people” , he said.
