SCHOOL RESUMPTION: ONDO WARNS AGAINST BULLYING, EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE, OTHER VICES
The Ondo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology wishes to inform the general public, school administrators, teachers, parents, and learners that all public and private primary and secondary schools in the State will resume for the Second Term of the 2025/2026 Academic Session on Monday.
All learners are expected to resume promptly on the stated date, and regular attendance and punctuality throughout the term are mandatory.
Teachers are equally expected to report back to school immediately after the holiday, prepare adequately for academic activities, deliver the approved curriculum effectively and ensure the smooth continuation of teaching and learning, leaving no stone unturned in fulfilling their professional responsibilities.
School administrators are hereby directed to put all necessary academic, administrative, and safety arrangements in place to guarantee a peaceful and well-coordinated resumption.
This includes ensuring a clean and safe school environment, effective supervision, strict adherence to approved academic calendars and school rules, as well as upholding child protection, health, and safety standards at all times.
Learners are strongly advised to maintain a high level of discipline and to shun all forms of unruly behaviour, such as bullying, street loitering, fighting, indecent dressing, examination malpractice, and other acts inimical to a conducive learning environment.
According to a statement signed by the Administrative Secretary in the ministry of education, Dr Akindele Ige, Parents and guardians are reminded of their critical roles in ensuring prompt resumption, monitoring their children’s conduct, ensuring compliance with school regulations, and maintaining regular communication with school authorities to support the academic and moral development of their children.
The Ministry will continue to monitor compliance and reaffirms its commitment to strengthening quality education and to providing a safe, orderly, and enabling environment for effective teaching and learning across Ondo State.
The Ministry wishes all learners, teachers, and school administrators a successful and productive Second Term.
