SECURITY OF LIVES AND PROPERTY REMAINS TOP PRIORITY OF AIYEDATIWA ADMINISTRATION – AJANAKU
The Ondo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Idowu Ajanaku, has commended the administration of Governor Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for its sustained efforts in improving security across the state.
Speaking during an exclusive interview on Adaba FM News, Ajanaku disclosed that the state government has recently provided utility vehicles and modern security equipment to the Ondo State Security Network, codenamed Amotekun Corps, to enhance high-level surveillance and eject criminal elements, particularly kidnappers from the state.
He cited the recent rescue of a kidnapped lecturer of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, as a clear testament to the government’s interventions.
According to him, the swift action and coordination between Amotekun and other security agencies in the state underscore the impact of these provisions.
Ajanaku further noted that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to security has gone beyond the provision of logistics, as he has been actively engaging investors to take advantage of the prevailing peace in the state.
He stressed that relative stability and safety have continued to attract business opportunities, which in turn create employment for the teeming youth population.
“The government’s investment in security is not just about safety, it is about creating the right environment for economic growth and job creation,” the commissioner said.
He assured residents that the administration would not relent in its efforts to protect lives and property, maintaining that security will remain a top priority in the government’s development agenda.
