SEUN OSAMAYE’S SOCIETAL CONTRIBUTIONS ATTRACT AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE
…While the Governor’s aide will be honoured as Promoter of Women Emancipation by ONDO NUJ, Hero Int’l Magazine is to confer Female Role Model of the Year on the political mobiliser
Activities of the Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Women Affairs, Dr. Seun Osamaye in the area of women emancipation and protection of the rights of women and the girl-child have attracted commendations from stakeholders in the society.
The Special Adviser has been at the forefront of fighting for the rights of women and ensuring that their interests are protected.
It is on record that her Non-governmental organisation has always been involved in the process of caring for widows and the aged.
On the political stage, Dr. Osamaye played prominent roles in the just concluded governorship election in Ondo State where the incumbent, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa was declared winner.
During the campaigns, her group, O’Datiwa Women Initiatives moved round the 18 local government areas and had interactions with critical stakeholders across the state on the need to vote Lucky Aiyedatiwa in the election.
All these contributions and many more have therefore attracted recognition from two different organisations.
The Nigeria Union Of Journalists in Ondo State has concluded plans to Confer Award Of Excellence As Distinguished Promoter of Women Emancipation of the Year.
The Award Conferment will hold on Friday 13th December at the NUJ Press Center, Alagbaka in Akure the state capital.
Similarly, the The Ondo State Outstanding Leadership Award Platform (Hero Magazine International) will on December 8 honour her as ONDO STATE FEMALE ROLE MODEL OF THE YEAR.
The event is slated for The Dome in the state capital.
In her reaction, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Women Affairs, Dr. Seun Osamaye described the recognitions as a challenge for her to continue to contribute her quota to human and societal development.
Osamaye who also bagged her PhD few days before the pronouncement of the awards by the two different organisations assured that she would continue play her part in emancipation of women and the girl-child.
