
SIX YEARS AFTER: FAMILY REMEMBERS EKITI DOYENNE OF NURSING PROFESSION, LATE CHIEF(MRS) EREOLA ADU(‘EYE NOOSI’)
Family members of Adu-Fatoba of Ado-Ekiti in Ekiti State have remembered their Matriarch, late Mrs. Rachael Ereola Adu.
The doyen of Nursing profession bid the world farewell on June 10, 2019.
The prominent daughter of the famous Baradagba Dynasty of Ereguru area of Ado-Ekiti worked as a teacher and later a nurse in Akure and other parts of Ekiti State before her retirement at the General Hospital Ado-Ekiti now Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital in 1993.
She was an active member of the Anglican Communion where she belonged to the famous ‘Egbe Irawo Owuro’ (Morning Star Society) at Emmanuel Anglican Cathedral, Okesa, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
In a statement by her eldest son and head of the family, Mr. Tope Adu and titled “Unforgettable Mother”, the retired Senior Immigration Officer described the pride of both Nursing profession as well as Ekiti as a woman of substance who prioritized the well being of her children and by extension all those who came across her either professionally or within her community.
“In loving memory of our darling mother late Mrs Rachel Ereola Adu who departed this sinful world on the 10th of June 2019”.
“We shall continue to remember you always for the wonderful things that you have done in our lives to make us better in life”.

But thank God, your sweet memory lives on daily in our hearts”.

“Fondly remembered by Children, Grand Children and Great Grand Children”, Tope Adu added.
Other children of the late Chief(Mrs) Rachael Ereola Adu are Mrs. Titi Daramola, Mr. Tunde Adu, Mrs. Eniola Ogunleye and Mr. Seun Adetola.
They all expressed consolation that their mother is resting in the blossom of the Lord.
They all continued to play their part in human and societal development as exemplified by their mother.
