An SS3 student of Saint Louis Grammar School Akure the Ondo State capital has emerged one of the numerous contributors to societal development to be honoured at the 3rd anniversary of News Connect Magazine.
Kehinde Adetola is a daughter of the renowned broadcast journalist and media relations expert, Seun Adetola.
The event slated for First Molac Hotel in the state capital would also witness the conferment of awards of excellence on other prominent Nigerians who include Chief Christiana Olayiwola and Dr Sammi Adebo.
The Publisher of the Magazine Mr. Taiwo Gold Adebayo said the honour on the St. Louis Grammar School student is in recognition of her contributions to the magazine through her page “Catch Them Young” for three years without any remuneration.
He said the honour is also to encourage upcoming generations to be committed, dedicated and focused in their journey in life.
Mr. Adebayo who is also the National President of Freelance and Independent Broadcasters Association of Nigeria(FIBAN) structures and processes have been put in place to improve on the magazine and ensure sustainability.
Dr. Sanmi Adebo an entrepreneur and philanthropist, the Iya Odua of United Kingdom and Yeye Lisa Aaso of Igbisin oloto in Ikale land, Chief Mrs Christiana Olubunmi Orimisan Olayiwola and others are being recognised for imparting positively on the society.
The event will hold at First Molac Hotel in Akure on March 30th where prominent media practitioners from within and outside the state would join in unveiling a special edition of the News Connect Magazine to mark the third anniversary.
